WELCOME 2009

We are happy to be back up and running after a wonderful Christmas Break. Hope you and your families had a wonderful holiday. We are looking forward to a successful 2009.

GENERAL REMINDERS:
- Payments for all clients are due this week. Anything after the 10th will have late charges for the seedling group. Anything after the 9th will be late for tutoring clients.

- Tutoring clients had to have filled out a form stating they were coming this week. All you you responded and we have a list of who will and won't be attending this week. For those of you who are not coming, remember, you either agreed to stop by and make your payment or mail it in. If we get it next week, it will be late.

- NO PARKING BY THE PATIO!!!! Please keep this area safe and clear.

Tutoring Info:
There were quite a few changes in our tutoring staff over the last six months. This may or may not have affected your child. I want you to know I do not like to make changes in children's tutors or schedules. However, we have had such a big turnover lately, I had to move things around for some of you. I can only attribute the economy and the need for any stable job as the reason some of our tutors came and went so quickly. It is my top priority to ensure all clients get a qualified tutor. I appreciate your flexibility as I do my best to meet the needs of 45 + students and their schedules. Things will only get busier and more crowded as the school year nears mid year. Please let me know if you have any needs or concerns.

Watch for you child's progress report to come out the week of January 26-29.

Seedling Info:
Some of our young ones may be tentative as we come back from a two week break. Remember all the reminders from the beginning of the year. Give them a confidant kiss and hug and let them know you will be back soon. We will get them into class and involved in the activities. If they are not comforted after a short while we will contact you.

Our second round of 4 year old testing will be happening shortly. Keep working on those ABCs, sight words and reading skills. Count aloud in the car and find fun creative ways to help them learn to spell their name.

Please remember to pack healthy snacks. We have seen lots of candy and sweets lately. This is hard on other kids who want some and it makes the kids more hyper during class time. Also, if you pack a large snack or lunch, please include an empty ziploc so we can wrap up the leftovers.
