MARCH / APRIL 2009

Tutoring:

This is the time of year we get more busy. Please make a valiant effort to be as quiet as possible. This will help the kids be able to focus more.

Progress Reports for March will come out the week of March 30.

Progress Reports for April will come out the week of April 27.

Remember to return a few minutes early so the tutors have time to go over your report with you. Keep us updated on your child's latest progress. Elementary report cards for Redlands came out in March. If you are willing, we would love to see the current status of how your child is doing.

With lots of sports going on, it is especially important to remember to call us before 10am if you can't attend. There are no exceptions after 10am.

The kids are moving along great. I am amazed at the progress of our pre-k kids. We started the ABC / Sight Word Rings with the kids near the middle of February. For those who took advantage of this program, we have seen incredible growth. Almost all of our kids know the whole alphabet and those that have moved on to sight words are doing super. Some have already mastered the 1st Kindergarten list!!!!

Upcoming News..... Registration for our 09-10 school year will be in late May. All you need to do is fill out new paperwork and upgrade your deposit. Since your tuition is more for a longer class, you will need to make the tuition equal half of a month's pay. You can just add the prorated amount to the amount you already have on the books. If you think you want to change days and times, please get your name on the waiting list. Currently enrolled students are given rights to the days they are already enrolled on. If you are thinking of changing days due to times or hours, please put your name on the list right away. All requests are first come, first serve, by available openings.

Pre-K.... We will have our graduation in June. We do this so families who choose to travel do not miss out. However, our curriculum goes through August. If you are planning to drop and not attend through the summer before staring Kindergarten, we will need to know ASAP. We often have other families who want to trade days over the summer, or have new families who join just for the summer as a boost to Kindergarten. There will be a formal form to fill out in a month or so, but if you know your plans now, please let us know.

All other ages are ongoing. If you choose to take time off for a vacation, pleae review the polices below....
There are no prorated amounts for anything less than 2 weeks. If you are gone 2 or more weeks you are required to pay half of the tuition for the period of time you are gone in order to hold your spot. We cannot hold spots, without payment, for the whole summer. Here are 2 examples,

1) T/R 3 year old. --- will be gone 2 weeks in July. Tuition is normally $120. The two weeks the child attends would cost $60 and the other two weeks would be charged 1/2 of $60. Therefore the total is $90 for the month.

2) MWF 2 yr old ---- will be gone all of July. Tuition is normally $100. July would be $50 to hold a spot in the class.
